Mustang Softball District Champions!

Congratulations to the Mustang Softball Team on their District Championship!  The Mustangs will host Nestucca in the first round of State Playoffs on Wednesday, May 22 at 4:00 p.m.

Mustang Mop Up May 22

Mustang Mop Up will be held on May 22.  Please wear work clothes and shoes.  No shorts or sandals are allowed.

Heppner Elementary Benefit Raffle

Heppner Elementary is holding a raffle for yummy baked goods on May 20 to help support the AR Reading trip on the Columbia River Sternwheeler. Please help support Mrs. Allen and this worthy cause.  Tickets are available in the office for .25 each or 6 for $1.

Incoming 9th Grade Girls Basketball Meeting

There will be a meeting for all incoming Freshman GIRLS currently interested in coming out for Basketball next year in the library during lunch today.  You may bring your lunch.

ASB Officer speeches and Presidential debates will be today during AP.  Voting will take place tomorrow.

Senior Information

The senior girls’ Mother/Daughter Tea will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at 11:30 a.m. at the Heppner Elks Lodge.

Senior photo deadlines:

May 16 – Yearbook baby and senior photos and parent quotes are due now. Parent/guardian quotes are available to accompany the senior photo in the yearbook for $10.  Photos should be sent to Jeremy.Rosenbalm@morrow.k12.or.us

Scholarship opportunities and due date lists are available in Mrs. Collins Room.  Applications are available in the file cabinet in Mrs. Collins Room. Some of the updated opportunities are listed below but please check with Mrs. Collins for a complete listing.

May 28 – Student Council Scholarship applications, for students who have served at least one year on the Executive Student Council, are due to Mrs. Bunch by 3:30 p.m. 

Hunter Safety Course

There will be a Hunter Safety course offered at HHS on June 11, 13, 18, & 20, with a workshop in Lexington on June 15. Registration is online at www.dfw.state.or.us.  For more information see the flyer posted on the student bulletin board.

Night of Excellence May 16

The HHS Night of Excellence will be tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the HES Gym.

Daytime Awards

There will be a Daytime Awards Assembly starting at 3:00 p.m. today in the HHS Gym.

Donkey Basketball

The FFA will present Donkey Basketball on Friday, May 17, beginning at 7:00 p.m.  There will be a petting zoo and roping lessons beginning at 6:00 p.m.
