9-12 Fun Night Tonight!

The ASB Executive Officer Team will be hosting a 9-12 grade “Fun Night”, featuring games and the movie "Goonies", tonight from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.  The admission is free and pizza & popcorn will be provided.  You will need to bring your own drink.

FFA News

The April Heppner FFA Chapter Meeting and Officer Election will be held on Wednesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m.  Officer candidates should be in OD with their speech ready!  If you have any questions ask a current officer.

Parents & supporters of Heppner FFA are invited to the meeting on Wednesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. for the schedule of upcoming events and make plans for helping with the FFA Banquet.

The Heppner FFA Banquet date has changed to Wednesday, May 24, at the Morrow County Fairgrounds Annex Building.  The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., program will start at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.  Please make note in your calendar.  The whole community is invited and encouraged to attend!

Boys Basketball Meeting – April 24

There will be a boys’ basketball meeting for next school year players in grades 8-11, on Monday, April 24, during lunch, in Mr. Rosenbalm’s Room.

Prom Guest Passes

The HHS Prom, “A Night In The Lost City of Atlantis”, will be held on May 6, at the Morrow County Fairgrounds Building, from 9;00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.  If you are bringing an out of town guest to Prom you must have a Dance Guest Pass Form turned in the office by April 27.  The forms are available in the holder outside the office.

A nurse from the Morrow County Health Department will be at HHS on Wednesday mornings for the remainder of the year. 

Drama Practice

HHS Drama presents “It’s A Wonderful Life” on May 15th & 16th at 7:00 p.m.  Admission is $3.00.

Senior Information

Senior yearbook photos are due to Mr. Rosenbalm by May 4.  Senior parents have the option of adding a parent quote by the senior photo in the yearbook.  The cost of the quotes is $10.  All quotes are due to Mr. Rosenbalm by May 17.  Parents may also send the photos and quotes to the office to be forwarded to Mr. Rosenbalm. 

The Mother Daughter Tea, sponsored by the Heppner Elks, for senior girls and their mothers or a guest will be held on May 22 at 11:30 a.m.

There are extra graduation announcements from Jostens available in the office for $1.10 each.

Drivers Ed - Hermiston High School

Youth Conservation Corps U.S. Forest Service Applications Available

The Umatilla National Forest, Heppner Ranger District, is recruiting four YCC enrollees for an eight-week period of employment in field-going activities from June 19, 2017 through August 11, 2017.  Young men and women ages 15 through 18, are eligible for employment.  Applications are available in the holder outside the office.  Applications must be received by the Heppner Ranger District by 2:00 p.m. on April 14, 2017.

Wildland Fire Suppression

ODF John Day Unit will be hiring for wildland fire suppression from June - October. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.  Information is available in the holder by the office.
