Day of the Dead
The Day of the Dead (el Día de los Muertos), is a Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drink and celebration. A blend of Mesoamerican ritual, European religion and Spanish culture, the holiday is celebrated each year from October 31-November 2.

Esta festividad mexicana consiste en que las familias dan la bienvenida a las almas de sus parientes fallecidos en una breve reunión en la que se ofrece comida, bebida y celebración. Esta festividad, que mezcla rituales mesoamericanos, religión europea y cultura española, se celebra del 31 de octubre al 2 de noviembre cada año.

Early literacy is highly valued at Sam Boardman Elementary School. All K-3 students are given a reading benchmark assessment and all K-1 students receive an additional dyslexia screener three times a year. This helps us provide intentional instruction to meet the needs of all students. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the school office.

We are excited to be offering Free GED prep classes in Spanish Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-6 at RHS. These sessions are available to Spanish speaking youth 16-21 and their parents.

Our Little Bucks PreK program students is being dismissed at 3:15 so we need to ensure that their parents have access to the pickup area in front of the school. PreK parents with the appropriate car decal will be permitted to be in the pickup zone from 3:00-3:20. All other cars will be asked to either park in a parking spot, or to come back at 3:20 to pick up kindergarten-3rd grade students.
We appreciate your help to ensure these parents can pick up their students during this timeframe and help with traffic back ups.
